Culture Recovery Fund
St Thomas’ is delighted to have received a grant from the Culture Recovery Fund, as we open up fully over the next few months. This will enable us to turn our narthex into a gallery space and help us adapt our nave into a venue for live performance, rehearsal and recording. For further information please contact us.
St Thomas’ Church
St Thomas’ Church is at the corner of Clapton Common and Oldhill Street. The entrance is in Oldhill Street. The main service is every Sunday starting at 10:30.
It is an Anglican parish church, part of the Church of England, but you do not need to belong to the Church of England to attend. Everyone is welcome, and members of any Christian church are welcome to receive communion with us.
We are very glad to have families bring babies and children. There is a toy corner in the Lady Chapel where noise doesn’t matter (and you can still hear the service). Children from about age four upwards may like to join junior church activities.
We are on the frequent 253/254 bus route which connects with Manor House and Bethnal Green tube stations.
Safeguarding
We take seriously our duty to have due regard to the House of Bishop’s Guidance on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. A list of important telephone numbers for children and adults at risk is here and is also displayed on church premises
